Farrell Dobbs (1907-1983), a Trotskyist joined the teamsters in the early 1930's in Minneapolis. He was one of the leaders in the 1934 Minneapolis truck driver strike. Just as WWII began, Dobbs was working for the SWP and basically opposed the war which led him to be imprisoned. A few years. At the time of this audio recording, he was the national secretary of the Socialist Workers Party (SWP).
